Close to 50 artists headline this 25th edition of Fountain Street Open Studios. We have old and new artists spread over 5 floors of our historic mill building, including returnees from Maine and California. In addition, we will have a display of artworks by Framingham State University art students on our second floor.
Visit our Open Studios Artists page for a preview of the works in store.
Numerous special events are planned:
The Barrelhouse Beatniks will perform on the fifth floor from 1 till 3 on Saturday. Kathleen Bryce (2 East) and Felipe Zamora (3 West) will offer portraits done on the spot.
Janet Kyle (5 West) will have several demonstrations, including a mural that her visitors can help create. Amy Weader (also 5 West) will demonstrate the workings of her knitting machine.
And Lynne Damianos (4 East) has a roster of eight authors doing book signings throughout the open studios hours. They include on Saturday: Hugh "Holly" Holleroth, Dot Walsh, Benet Kolman, and Susan Kahn; and on Sunday: Thomas Helper, James Parr, Kevin Swope, and Frederic Wallace.
